Why I Created the Federal Workforce Voice Survey

Every Federal Employee Deserves to Be More Than a Line Item.

Right now, across federal agencies, restructuring and mass layoffs are reducing dedicated public servants to nothing more than a number on a balance sheet — or worse, a “drain on taxpayer dollars.”

That narrative is dangerous. And it’s wrong.

I created this survey to push back. To capture the real stories behind the headlines. To amplify the voices of the workforce — the people who have carried the weight of these missions, often unseen and unheard, while leadership shuffles the pieces around.

This isn’t about collecting data for the sake of data. It’s about honoring experience, frustration, and resilience. It’s about making sure that in this moment of upheaval, every voice counts — and every story has the chance to be part of the larger conversation.

Because change is coming. And it matters who is heard when decisions are made.
